Jensen Universal Remote Jr 400 Manual

I have purchased Protron home electronics(flat-screens and dvd's). There is no listing in the manual for this manufacturer. The guide is also unclear about the steps to take to scan through the codes.it says repeat steps; well, which steps? And do you continually input 991 with each try? Unfortunately, I can't locate the remote to the dvd players; and you know the rest.

Also, none of the tv's came with a universal; so, I'd like to program them as well. I greatly appreciate time and assistance with this matter.

Cons: Might not work EVERY feature of each device.but it works the ones you need. Need codes for your JR-500? (copy and paste if this isn't an active link) Go here: ' dl.cgi?file=others/jensen/jr300-400-500-manual.zip &area=other ' Well, what all do you expect to hear about a remote control?

I bought this remote with every intention of eliminating the 4 different ones I had to cycle through, and alas! At the risk of re-stating the obvious, you can program 5 different units with this remote. TV, DVD player, VCR, Surround Sound System, and Stereo, for example. Brain Theory And Neural Networks.

All with one remote. This remote's layout is great. It's easy to hold, feels good in your hand, and most buttons seem to be where you'd expect them to be. The volume up/down and channel up/down buttons are larger than the rest, which is how it should be but sadly not a common thing among remotes like you'd expect. I would however change the location of the volume, channel, and VCR buttons to the middle of the remote, where they're easier to hit with your thumb, and put the selection arrows at the front.

That might be just my personal prefernce though. I think that might be the only way to make this remote a little more user-friendly. But, shoot, I have no REAL complaints so far. You can easliy program this remote by the small 'setup' button. Or you can do a automatic code 'search' by using 991 as your code, then pressing 'power' & the device's button back and forth until it shuts off your device, then hit setup to lock that particular code.

That's handy should you lose your code sheet, or are too lazy to go find it. As long as you remember 991. Not 911 like I tried once. It even has a 'Scan' button that cycles through your TV channels for you, changes once every 3 seconds, just like scan on your radio! Now you won't get a sore thumb:)!! One of the better all-in-one's I've used!
