• 108 Answers SOURCE: Nail guns either have a switch or a seperate trigger assembly for two options - automatic, or 'bump' fire, and sequential fire. Sequential firing may be best for you since the nose must be fully depressed and the trigger pulled for each nail. If you're stuck with bump firing, practice your technique. Double fires often occur when the workpiece bounces back into the nose of the gun; learn to 'bounce' the gun off the material to avoid this second contact.

If you're getting double fires in sequential mode, the problem could be more serious. I keep a can of aerosol silicone lubricant on hand to clean and lubricate the feed mechanism and magazine. Make sure your tool is clean and lubricated before each use, including the 3-5 drops on the air coupling.

Check that your air pressure is not set too high. Overdriving nails reduces their effectiveness and can cause tool malfunction. This problem could also be caused by worn out O-rings or other parts within the tool. If you're not comfortable servicing the tool yourself, take it in for repair/maintenance work. Another important thing to remember: With tools like this, you get what you pay for. A cheap nailgun will never function as well as a quality nailgun. Posted on Oct 14, 2009.

• 1388 Answers SOURCE: Miss fire usually occurs when piston/driver is bent, piston oring worn, lower bumper cracked or missing pieces or upper bumper is cracked. Easy to check.

Remove head and pull piston. If bent try to adjust, but be careful, blade breaks easily. Piston should fit snugly in cylinder, if loose, replace piston oring. If oring/plastic ring ok examine lower bumper for cracks and replace as needed. If lower bumper ok, pull out headvalve and examine upper bumper for cracks. If upper bumper ok, pull cylinder and look for loose check band around cylinder.

Check band is black rubber and should be placed around cylinder fitting snuggly covering series of holes. Replace parts as needed and lube with silicone paste sold at Lowes in the plumbing department (or white grease). Good luck Posted on Jan 11, 2011. I take it that you have already searched online other places with not much luck, don't worry you will find it out there somewhere, the best place to start is with the manufacturer, they will have an website or contact information, you may need to call them. Try mixing up your search and use different search engines, often the resellers like stores and outlets have a contact for the manufacturer and they can find one for you.

Try typing in (user manual library) then narrow down your search from there. Good luck Feb 06, 2014 . Kaspersky Anti-virus 7.0.1.32. Final-(fresh Keys-17.01).

A nail gun works on compressed air. When you hook the air hose to the gun it fills a cylinder with air pressure. When you pull the trigger. The cylinder pressure is released onto a firing pin that shoots the nail. The air pressure line is also connected to the trigger and therefore the trigger has to be sealed.

When ever using a nail gun, you add a bit of gun oil in the back of the gun (not 3-in-1motor oil, it has to be non-detergent gun oil) If you haven't used the gun in a while, it is best to oil up the gun and let the oil run down into the gun. If you use anything but gun oil, the seals will give out. Your trigger seal has given out. It is probably an 'O' ring. You can access it by taking it apart.

Look for the O ring. Bostich makes re-build kits for the different guns that you can buy on-line. Back when I was in construction, there were several nail gun shops that sold and serviced nail guns, and sold nails to the contractors. I don't know if that business model is still active or if you have to send the guns to Bostich service center. Oct 18, 2010 .
